In Re: Commission on Children's Justice; Disposition: On the Court's own motion, by order filed September 25, 2015, the en banc Court re-established the Commission on Children's Justice, appointed its members for three-year terms and designated Judge Virginia C. Carlton of the Court of Appeals of the State of Mississippi and Judge Thomas Broome, County Court Judge of Rankin County, as the co-chairs of the Commission. Since that time the composition of the Supreme Court has changed and other good cause exists for the en banc Court to make the following changes in the membership of the Commission. Justice Dawn H. Beam is appointed as a member of the Commission to succeed former Justice Randy G. Pierce, and her term expires on September 25, 2018, unless terminated sooner by resignation or further order of this Court. Randy G. Pierce, Executive Director of the Mississippi Judicial College, is appointed as a member of the Commission, and his term expires on September 25, 2018, unless terminated sooner by resignation or further order of this Court. David A. Chandler, Ph. D., Executive Director, Division of Family and Children's Services, Mississippi Department of Human Services, is appointed as a member of the Commission, and his term expires on September 25, 2018, unless terminated sooner by resignation or further order of this Court. Justice Dawn H. Beam and Judge Thomas Broome are designated as the Co-Chairs of the Commission. The Clerk of the Supreme Court shall spread this order upon the minutes of the Court and forward a copy of this order to all members of the Commission. Order entered 3/31/16.
