The Mississippi Bar v. Isaac N. (Ike) Farris LCCase #98BD714; Ruling:05/12/1998; Disposition: Motion for Indefinite Suspension Pending Appeal, Striking from Rolls, Suspending and Staying Proceedings filed by The Mississippi Bar, granted. Isaac N. (Ike) Farris' name shall be immediately stricken from the rolls of The Mississippi Bar and he shall be suspended from the practice of law until the conclusion of these disciplinary proceedings or until his conviction is reversed on appeal. Further action in these disciplinary proceedings is stayed until Farris' appeal of the conviction is concluded, following which this Court will take appropriate action as required by law. In the event such conviction is reversed on appeal, Isaac N. (Ike) Farris' name shall be returned to the rolls of The Mississippi Bar and he shall be reinstated to the practice of law in the State of Mississippi, but such reinstatement shall not bar or terminate disciplinary proceedings predicated upon such convictions. The Clerk of this Court shall forthwith mail certified copies of this order to the Chancery Clerk and Circuit Clerk of Forrest County, Mississippi, and to the senior chancellor and circuit judge of the Chancery and Circuit Courts of Forrest County, Mississippi, and the order shall be entered upon the minutes of those courts in accordance with the provisions of Rule 8.6(iii) of the Rules of Discipline of the The Mississippi Bar.
