In Re: Commission on Children's Justice; Disposition: In its continuing efforts to improve court processes related to Mississippi's child welfare system and in compliance with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' requirement for funding, the Court relieves and discharges the members of the Commission on Children's Justice from the duties conferred on them by the order of February 14, 2019, with the sincere appreciation of the Court; appoints for a term of three-years from the entry of this order and subject to their willingness to serve, a new advisory group, the Commission on Children's Justice, consisting of the designated 50 members from the Judiciary, the Executive Branch, the Legislative Branch, and Non-Governmental organizations; directs the Commission to review reports, studies, legislation, and other materials, analyze the use of court improvement funds, and make recommendations to the En Banc Conference of the Mississippi Supreme Court to improve the court system for children; and designates the following three members as Co-Chairs of the Commission: Justice Dawn Beam, Judge Thomas Broome, and Chancellor Rhea Sheldon.
