Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance v. Ellis Willard LC Case#: 98-281/99-004; Ruling Date: Ruling Judge: Disposition: Petition for Interim Suspension of Justice Court Judge Ellis Willard, granted. Effective immediately, Sharkey County Justice Court Judge Ellis Willard shall be suspended from office and restrained from the exercise of any judicial power or from acting under color of the office of Justice Court Judge in any capacity whatsoever pending further order of this Court. This interim suspension is, however, as required by Miss. Code Ann., Section 9-19-13, ordered without loss of salary during the pendency of proceedings for discipline now before this Court. The Clerk of this Court shall spread this order on the minutes of this Court and shall forward a certified copy to: (A) Sharkey County Justice Court Judge Ellis Willard; (B) Sharkey County Justice Court Judge Treves H. Cooper; (C) Sharkey County Justice Court Clerk Patricia Ann Stevens: (D) Sharkey County Chancery and Circuit Clerk Murinda Williams; and (E) Sharkey County Board of Supervisors. The clerk of the Sharkey County Justice Court shall spread this Order upon the minutes of that court. Smith, J. not participating. Order entered.
