Court of Appeals to be closed Tuesday noon until Thursday morning The Mississippi Court of Appeals will close at noon Tuesday, July 6, to honor the judicial service of the late Judge James E. Thomas, and to allow judges and staff to attend visitation and the funeral service in Gulfport, Court of Appeals Chief Judge Leslie D. King said. The Court of Appeals will remain closed on Wednesday, July 7, and will reopen on Thursday, July 8. Judge Thomas died July 4 at his home in Gulfport. Visitation for Judge Thomas is Tuesday, July 6, 5 - 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gulfport and at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Gulfport. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, at First Baptist Church in Gulfport. #### |
