Reception honoring Chief Judge Lee set for April 28 Newly appointed Court of Appeals Chief Judge L. Joseph Lee will be honored April 28 at a reception at the Mississippi Bar Center. The reception is scheduled for 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Bar Center at 643 North State Street. Chief Judge Lee, of Jackson, became administrative head of the Court of Appeals March 3. Mississippi Supreme Court Chief Justice Bill Waller Jr. appointed Judge Lee to the leadership position previously held by Chief Judge Leslie D. King, who was appointed to a vacancy on the Supreme Court. Judge Lee was first elected to the Court of Appeals in November 1998 and took office in January 1999. He was appointed as one of two presiding judges of the Court of Appeals in 2004. #### |
