Kevin presented the report for the Sub-committee on the meeting concerning surveys. Kevin asked that everyone look over the sample report and note any recommendations for improvement. Sam noted GIS be added. Paul Davis suggested it be titled Mapping instead of GIS. All agreed. David mentioned that the focus now should be to find the gaps in the systems, and to determine the information needed.

The Sub-committee decided to compile all available information to determine the scope of any surveys. Kevin was asked to compile all information from the court com surveys into one report.

Paul recommended that an action plan be developed for the next 30 days. David suggested that the Task Force go to the Legislature with recommendations and request another year of study, because this task is too broad to resolve in the time remaining. All agreed.

Kevin noted that the AOC website at www.mssc.state.ms.us contained information on the Local Government Information Systems Task Force. Everyone is encouraged to visit the site for any information related to the task force.
