Lee County Court Judge Bevill to take oath Dec. 28 in Tupelo

An investiture ceremony for new Lee County Court Judge Staci Shumpert Bevill will be held Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. in the Circuit Courtroom of the Lee County Justice Center, 200 West Jefferson Street in Tupelo.
Judge Sharion Aycock, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi, will administer the oath of office.
Across the state, 42 new judges will take their oaths of office in ceremonies scheduled during the next three weeks. New judges include three new Court of Appeals judges, 20 new Chancery Court judges, nine new Circuit Court judges and 10 new County Court judges. New judicial terms begin on Jan. 1, 2019.
