The Capitol Complex Improvement District Court was created by the Legislature to hear and determine all preliminary matters and criminal matters authorized by law for municipal courts that accrue or occur, in whole or in part, within the boundaries of the Capitol Complex Improvement District, and to hear and determine all cases charging violations of the motor vehicle and traffic laws of this state, and violations of the City of Jackson’s traffic ordinance or ordinances related to the disturbance of the public peace that accrue or occur, in whole or in part, within the boundaries of the CCID.
This new court was created to support and supplement the current criminal justice system addressing crime in the Jackson area. Located at 201 Jefferson Street, in downtown Jackson, Mississippi court information may be found on this site or by calling: 601.576.5050.

The CCID Court has been given jurisdiction to hear and determine all preliminary matters and criminal matters authorized by law for municipal courts, and shall have the same jurisdiction as municipal courts to hear and determine cases charging violation of the motor vehicle laws of the state of Mississippi, violations of the City of Jackson’s traffic ordinances, or ordinances related to disturbance of the public peace in that accrue or occur, in whole or part, within the boundaries of the Capitol Complex Improvement District.
